Te Whare Toi. The Gallery.

Edith Collier: Early New Zealand Modernist, an exhibition at Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery in Whanganui from 9 November 2024 to 16 February 2025, marks the first major survey of Collier’s work since 1999. It has an accompanying book with over 150 illustrations and contributions from twenty-four writers, including her descendants. The exhibition forms part of the gallery’s opening season Nō Konei | From Here, which from 9 November 2024 to 11 May 2025 will feature over 200 extraordinary works spanning four centuries of European and New Zealand art history in the gallery’s newly expanded spaces.
