Tell us a bit about yourself. My days at the moment consist of early morning harvesting in my flower field before the heat, spring flower seed collecting and sowing to plant out in autumn, weeding endlessly, and making vases on my pottery wheel in the studio where I am based, on my mum’s family farm with my husband and flower dog Ziggy.

Dad made this bedside table for me using the old headboard from my childhood bed. It’s a custom size to squeeze into a very small space.

I love reading in bed, it’s nice to take a little time out and get lost in a story after a long day working in the flower field. I’m loving my current book about the incredible benefits of being connected with nature.

My planning diary is always on hand, as I always start remembering things or having ideas the second I jump into bed. I write it down for tomorrow so I can have as much of a restful sleep as possible.

I made a set of bud vases for our wedding in November last year and keep some on our bedside tables, topped up with special little blooms that catch my eye – a never ending rotation of sweet flowery faces, special in some way. At the moment it’s the first blooms of a flowering gum I planted a few years ago and some Tamarix that was growing at a beachside bach where we spent a recent weekend away.

I have an ever growing collection of candles from Nonna’s Grocer’s range of incredibly lifelike fruit and vegetable candles, including this mandarin. I can’t wait to add more to the collection, as they’re too good not to use.

I have snips scattered everywhere, from my handbag, pockets, car doors, to my bedside table. They are what I pick up first thing in the morning, and often the last thing I put down at night. The ARS collection are always the favourite ones I reach for first.

I always have rough hands from spending most days with them in the dirt, so using hand cream is essential to help them recover. At the moment I’m using a lovely smelling dōTerra lotion that was gifted to me recently.

After a long day, going to bed and getting a good night’s sleep is always high on my list of priorities. Sometimes it’s with aching muscles, or many things running through my mind, so I keep some magnesium oil by my bed to spray on my feet each night to help me sleep better and recharge, ready for whatever flower life may bring the next day.
