A place to connect, celebrate and create. To escape the demands of family and home life. To embrace out-of-the-box experiences in a rural setting and head home more resilient and enthused, with a stash of tools in the toolbox.
The Shepherdess Muster has a relaxing retreat feel and a festival vibe. The programme works like a menu of activities—attendees will pick and choose from a selection of workshops, guest speakers, beauty therapists and health services to attend each day. All festival goers will come together multiple times during the days and evenings for meals, drinks, performances and live music.
Intended to become an annual event, the small village of Motu (an hour out of Gisborne) will play host to the first Shepherdess Muster, taking place from 16-18 February 2024.
The Shepherdess Muster is a not-for-profit event.
Location
Motu School is playing host to The Shepherdess Muster in 2024.
Motu is a small village in Tairāwhiti, 10km north of Matawai, about halfway between Gisborne and Ōpotiki.
