2pm, Hot Sand by Lake Hāwea-based artist, Sally-Mae Hudson, linocut print, 50cm x 38cm (limited edition of forty).
“All of my artworks are hand-printed, with either the back of my hand, a spoon or a baren. I’m inspired by the feeling and heat of mid-summer in Aotearoa. The pōhutukawa is blooming and the sand is hot under your feet as you run down for a swim in the sparkling calm waters,” Sally-Mae says.
This artwork features in our Raumati Summer 2023/24 Edition.
