Women from across Marlborough have jumped in front of the camera to raise funds for the Cancer Society. With Covid-19 making it harder to fundraise, members of the Marlborough branch of Rural Women New Zealand put their thinking caps on and decided to bare all for a 2022 calendar.

"It was quite funny, really, to be in the calendar," says Melva Robb of Rapaura, Blenheim. "We had to start at the beginning of May, before it got too cold. You did it because it was for a good cause, not because you really wanted to. But we had a lot of laughs."

As for the setting, it was well thought out and included the farm tractor that has been in the family for thirty years. "I love bonfires," says Melva. "And I love my old tractor. Usually the winter pictures on calendars are cold, and I thought we needed something to warm everybody up. That's why I thought we'll have a tractor with a bonfire on board."
