Our model for this shoot was Renee Bull (Kāi Tahu ki Murihiku, Kāti Māmoe, Waitaha, Te Arawa), 31, who grew up in Motupōhue Bluff and – thanks to having a dad with a crayfishing quota and boat – gained a familiarity with the sea. Renee recently finished a degree in environmental management from Te Wānanga o Raukawa and works for Ngāi Tahu.
