I have always loved this picture. To be honest, I have no idea why Anton, 9, was up on top of the washing line, or how on earth he got up there. Nor do I pretend to understand the game he and Arwen, 7, were playing. I just heard the shrieks of laughter from the kitchen and came out to see what was going on. My kids are not necessarily naturally fearless – more joy-and-fun-addicted, I’d say. Side note – the washing line was, in fact, rendered completely broken a few weeks later. I have no doubt these kinds of shenanigans contributed to its demise!
