Shepherdess ‘In Her Own Words’ at Wānaka A&P Show
Saturday 8th March, 8.00-9.30am

Join us for a special Shepherdess ‘In Her Own Words’ breakfast at the Wānaka A&P Show, as part of our fifth anniversary celebrations. This event brings together women who have appeared in the pages of the magazine and on screen with Shepherdess, for a morning of connection, storytelling, and the best of rural communities.

Over a light breakfast, join Shepherdess for a heartfelt conversation with Amanda Dorset and Serena Lyders (Ngāti Porou). Amanda’s story beautifully weaves deeply personal aspects of family and community with her innovative use of wool in Wilson & Dorset, her Wānaka-based business. Serena, from Tokanui, is a sixth-generation shearer who has found her calling as a traditional healer. The conversation will be led by Kristy McGregor, Editor and Publisher of Shepherdess, who will delve into Amanda’s and Serena’s journeys, including their reflections on the years spent working to build their businesses and making a difference in their communities.

The breakfast will be opened by Prue Kane, Board Member of the Upper Clutha A&P Society, who will share the Wānaka A&P Foundation’s vision for strengthening rural leadership and wellbeing.

This is an opportunity to connect with like-minded women and be part of a meaningful conversation at the Wānaka A&P Show, one of the South Island’s most beloved events. This is a small, intimate gathering with only a limited number of tickets. The ticket price includes full day Saturday entry to the Wānaka A&P Show.
