Social Club | Raumati Summer Online Conversation Series

The first of two fantastic virtual events we’ve got lined up for our Social Club subscribers this summer is a conversation with Ruth Shaw of Manapōuri’s Two Wee Bookshops, taking place at 8pm on Tuesday 30th January.

Thanks to Ruth and her husband Lance, the small Southland township of Manapōuri (population around 200) has possibly the most books per capita in Aotearoa! Ruth’s incredible life has been published in her 2022 memoir The Bookseller at the End of the World, and she’s just released another book, Bookshop Dogs.
